Wow ! How incredible is this film. The comedy, subtle but top-notch, the acting, great for todays standards and finally, overall story, entertaining and gripping. Following Powell as a teacher turned private police man, we see his character develop and grow to a point where the audience really connects with his character and his many personas. This has to be by far one of Glen Powell’s best film of his career, his “anyone but you” is a contender but no where near, in my opinion anyways, to the quality shown in “Hit man”. This is really where he shows his set of skills, ranging from one film to another ; to a laughable lover boy who falls in love in Australia (Anyone but you ) to a peaceful and quiet man turned into a member of the police force catching people who want to hire a hit man (Hit Man). He is the reason this film is so good but notable mentions for characters were the side characters played by Retta and Sanjay Rao; these two were amazing and I ended up laughing almost every time they were on screen, truly top notch actors. I would also love to mention the chemistry between Powell’s character Gary and Adria Arjona’s character Madison; these two were incredible on screen and really made this film enjoyable with their acting and how they are around each other as characters and as their normal person. The twist about an hour into this film is quite unexpected and is very good in setting up the second half of the film; leaving the audience wanting to keep watching, pulling them in to the film itself. The ending was impeccable aswell; this film was extremely unpredictable and I loved it.

Agent 47 is a skilled assassin who has a job to kill a political figure. However, it goes very wrong and the agnecy that he works for puts a hit on him. He has to escape and find the truth before it's too late. Thr themes are: Death, Love, control and assimilation. The lighting is phenomenal in some scenes and bland in others. There is one scene where Agent 47 is in a bedroom and he's sitting on the bed. There is a clod blue light coming from outside and reflecting onto his face Symbolising and relating to how cold and emotionless he is. There is a unique transition in the film that comes very early and it's when Agent 47 gets a new suit. In most films, it would be awful and you would question why they would add it in, but in this it works so well. The transition is a simple cut but it's done in a video game esk way like a blank loading screen and as it's based on a videogame it suits the film very nicely. Timothy Olyphants performance as Agent 47 is brillant. How he imbraces and portarys the cold and dark assassin you couldn't think of anyone else who could play it better, as he did it flawlessly. The facial expressions he give was enough to know how good he was in the role. Espically with the scenes he was in with Olga Kuryleko who plays Nika. There cemestry is just perfection and it feels and looks believable. There are some good variety of shots such as when Agent 47 is fighting over agents with Katarnas there are a few high angel shots in the scene. In the end there is a great zoomed out wide shot of him on a throne. Finally, there is a good close up shot where the lighting mixes in and the cold tabel reflects onto his face. However, there is slow-mo in thsi film and I don't like how they use it as it looks silly and unnecessary and the green screen in the final sort looks very outdated. Overall, you can tell there was a lot of thought and care with the making of this film, and either the writer or director was a fan of the games or like them as you can tell they were not taking bits and pieces from the source material instead of rewriting the character to fit the plot. It's still a very good movie.
