Cuando en la página oficial vi las opiniones que los directores más frikis (George Romero, Peter Jackson, Sam Raimi, Guillermo Del Toro) habían hecho sobre esta peli, supe que valia la pena verla. Muy buena parodia (y no tan parodia) de película de zombis, con muy buenos maquillajes, mucho mucho humor (a veces humor un poco tonto, pero bueno), algunas escenas gores curradas y muy buenos a la hora de la banda sonora (que prácticamente siempre viene de parte interna, ya sea en una radio que estan oyendo, o la tele, o lo que sea). Para pasar un rato muy entretenido.

Edgar Wright back on the list, he's just amazing isn't he? Although this a comedy at heart, it mixes other genre tropes so well that it stays exciting and interesting all the way through. Its incredible how well comedy and horror mix, and this film is just the peak of that cross over.

Director: Edgar Wright Starring: Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Kate Ashfield Story: A London man’s monotonous routine is threatened when a zombie apocalypse comes Pros: - Hilarious - Really great visual storytelling and comedy. The way they use the camera to further the story and the gags is really incredible - Good performances all around, especially from Pegg who is a very charismatic lead - Fun use of music - An incredibly tight script with lots of layers - Lots of homages to older zombie movies which make for fun Easter eggs! Cons: - Not every joke lands - Can be a bit gratuitous

The soundtrack, the comedy, editing, characters, actual sadness, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Shaun's mum, Bill Nighy, the ending... it's all so perfect! A few lines of dialogue haven't aged so well, but they align so well to Frost's character that they still work. So much tremendous foreshadowing, a love story, great gore, and so much fun. No more notes... Edgar Wright is one of my favorites! 416/500 movies & tv for 2024
