Escape From L.A. Fails To Impress But Is Still A Decent Ride For Those Who Are Fans Of The First Movie In This Franchise. This Film Attempts To Replicate The Storyline Of Its Predecessor, But This Time In The City Of Angels. Carpetner Applied More CGI In This Film, Which Caused Many Scenes To Feel Out Of Place (It’s Noticeably Bad). Kurt Russel’s Performance Is On Point, And Steve Buscemi Is An Interesting Addition; Plus, The Revamped Score Is A Nice Touch. Still, The Film Is A Bit Underwhelming Even Though It Tried To Implement Some Unique Plot Points. As Kurt Russel Co-Wrote The Script, It’s Clear He Was Passionate To Reprise His Role, But It’s Still Not a Enough To Completely Save This Film. Carpenter Might Have Stated This Sequel As The Superior Film In The Franchise, But I Would Strongly Disagree.
