Una gran película de Burton, con una bonita historia que trae consigo un mensaje anti-racista, sobre la forma en que la gente odia todo lo diferente... Buenas interpretaciones, puntos muy cómicos, ambiente muy currado... lo mejor de todo es el magnífico castillo de Edward, donde se ve perfectamente el estilo de Burton, es la ostia.

I will give it to Tim Burton, he does have a very distinct style and his character creation is unlike anyone else. Unfortunately he can never seem to get a good enough movie behind these characters. It is a lot of style over substance in this movie.

Introduced the kiddo to this one and she doesn't agree with me that there's a happy ending. This viewing I paid extra attention to the sets, props, and backgrounds and just love the Florida aesthetic for the era. I also loved how Depp really embodies the "down for anything" Edward with innocence. Winona Ryder dancing in the Snow is so magical and, for me, the memory of Edward when it snows is the happy ending I love. Vincent Price is also so good as the patient inventor who gives breaks from etiquette lessons to share some poetic dad jokes. Between Edwars Scissorhands and Lydia Deetz, Burton really did create a vibe for 90s goth kids. 310/500 movies & tv for 2024

Tim Burton’s most iconic. The story surrounds an unfinished creation named Edward who has scissors for hands, played brilliantly by Johnny Depp. As his father dies without completing him, he is thrown into a world completely strange for him. Peg (Dianne Wiest) discovers the lone boy & brings him home. He later becomes infatuated with Peg's teen daughter Kim (Winona Ryder). Kim too falls in love with him, eventually. Hereon, we witness their tragic love story .. A dark fairy tale filled with righteous humor, amazing performances and possibly the most heartbreaking romance of all time.
