Hilarious Ride! Fun ride all along, great punchline for those who understand. On the whole Airplane is an "Ahead of time" comedy Gem!. Cast performances, comic timings are very good. Just absolute ridiculousness, in the best possible way! Some of the best physical comedy ever put to film, so unsubtle, but for once, that was fully intentional and worked incredibly. So simple so funny and such madness.

How this has a PG rating is a mystery to me. Blink and you'll miss it comedy and slapstick that's done well. This is a classic comedy that paved the way for a lot of visual gag & punny movies, but it does show how blatant racism, sexism, & homophobia could easily be put in a PG movie at this time. While the "nobody's safe" comedy style was a fan favorite it certainly hasn't aged well. 278/365 movies & tv for 2023

Those movies full of humorous gags that really work are greatly missed. This type of humor is sadly outdated. Airplane! is one of the great comedies of the last century and no one has been able to match the quality of Leslie Nielsen and company. The new generations will never even be able to understand why we laugh with this. This film brings back to me many memories with family members who have already passed away, but who left a beautiful mark in my memory. I recommend this entertaining movie for those nostalgic for 80's cinema.
