End of the year is around the corner and everyone is all set to welcome the new year with great pomp and show, but let's look back at what 2022 gave us. Bollywood is among the top movie producing industries of the world. This year was a gift for the theatres as the offline screening of movies was restarted with full capacities post Covid, and hence was also a great challenge for movie producers and directors, let's take a stroll back the memory lane.
Bhrahmastra Part One : Shiva
Bhrahmastra was for sure one of the most talked about movies of the year 2022. With Alia and Ranbir’s wedding bells and all the indirect publicity this movie received, people were dying to watch this movie on the big screen. Speculations were made about how the movie has copied some of its scenes from the Marvel movies and the excessive use of CGI was very new for bollywood viewers. People had mixed reviews about the movie. The film is about a guy who discovers that he has the powers to control fire and is secretly connected to a society of guardians.
KGF 2
When KGF was released, viewers absolutely loved the concept of the movie and it was a hit in every corner of India. KGF Chapter 2 was determined to follow the lead and was an instant hit. It started where we left chapter 1, to the promise given to his mother. Rocky arrived in Mumbai and got involved with some gold mafias. In chapter 2, Rocky has taken over the gold mine and is now determined to rule the underworld, but the power he holds is threatening for his nemesis and the government. The story shows how he has made it to the top of the mafia world and his struggle to maintain the balance.
RRR
RRR as a movie has done a perfect job and done justice to the characters. The storyline, the cast, the sets and everything about the movie screams perfection. The story is about Alluri Sitaram Raju played by Ram Charan and Komaram Bheem played by Rama Rao, who have totally different attitudes about the British raj. The story is based on real-life events. Ram Charan is a police officer under the British Raj, who works for the British police and tortures the common people, whereas Komaram Bheem is a wanted criminal for the British sarkar who fights for the rights of the poor. The bromance between Ram Charan and Komaram Bheem is spectacular and the story is binge worthy.
Vikram
Vikram is a tamil movie. This action-thriller will give you an adrenaline rush. The legendary actor Kamal Haasan has added life to the movie. He plays the role of agent Vikram who is working on a murder case. A group of masked serial killers are behind the committed murder. While investigating the case, Vikram stumbles upon a drug kingpin of Chennai. The movie became the second highest-grossing Tamil film of 2022. Vikram manages to solve the cases and save the lives of numerous people stuck in the mud pool.
Gangubai Kathiawadi
Gangubai Kathiawadi was a masterpiece released in 2022, discussing a topic considered taboo among the Indian society. Prostitution has been a part of Indian society for a long time, but has always been frowned upon. Gangubai is a true story of a woman, who was tricked into prostitution. Later, she fought for the rights of every woman who has to do this work to support their families. The movie is evergreen and everything is just in its right place that includes the screenplay, the music and the icing on cake is Alia Bhatt's breathtaking acting.
