Como película de robos, bien. Como remake de la original, pura vergüenza ajena. ¿Cómo puede llamarse esto ¨The Italian Job¨, si Italia solo sale 10 minutos al principio? Malditos estadounidenses y su maldito nacionalismo. Si una película no transcurre en su país, no interesa... Qué triste tomar el nombre de la original para esto. Como decía, como cinta de robos, muy bien, con buen presupuesto y unos cuantos nombres bien conocidos, pero la película, aún teniendo sus dosis de acción y tal, no logra causar la más mínima excitación, la más mínima tensión, y es que todo va demasiado ¨rodado¨ en todo momento, quien la haya visto sabrá a lo que me refiero.

The soul patch is a beard's poop. Even with a mustache... it still is. A competent heist movie, brought to you by the Mini Cooper hitting the states, this remake has its bright spots but is stuck in the early 00s more than is good for it. From Norton's soul patch, to paint explosives, and some light objectification of women, a lot of things pulled me out of enjoying this. Maybe the worst was probably Marky Mark likely requesting to have to play basketball here. There are some funny and fun moments but much like the soul patch, it still might be a bit of poop. 178/500 movies & tv for 2024

The Italian Job is a cool, sleek action-packed film with a fantastic cast and incredible stunts. The Italian Job achieves the impossible - making mini coopers cool! With a cast filled with stars from Mark Wahlberg to Jason Statham to Charlize Theron, this high-paced, high-energy film oozes swagger and awesomeness. This close-knit band of thieves is on a mission of revenge to steal from the man that betrayed them all and murdered their leader. With the moral high ground and proper motivation, these characters become that much cooler and are that much easier to root for as they break the rules in pursuit of their quarry. The stunt driving and camera work meld together perfectly to create a stunning high-octane movie that is exciting, fun, and worth seeing again and again.
