It's brilliant. Utterly engrossing from start to finish. The pacing has frenetic energy throughout. The script is epic. This is Michael Mann at the height of his directing prowess. Russell Crowe and Al Pacino are both Oscar worthy. 9.6/10

Journalistic investigation films don't get much better than this, in addition to being an extremely detailed film on events, showing very well the difficult and flawed media coverage and the fragile laws that help large corporations, it also balances this very well with the personal dramas of the Russell Crowe's character, who interprets his character's desolation and moral conflicts very well, I think it's his best performance, Al Pacino(🐐) doesn't have as much development, but he's great as always. Mann's direction opts for a closed camera seeking discomfort in a certain claustrophobia, which works very well to leave the spectator in the protagonist's paranoia; The director also knows how to create tension very well, he even reminded me of the way All the President's Man does it, scenes that know how to use lighting and the absence of lighting very well. The Insider is another great film by Michael Mann and one of the best investigative journalistic films I have seen, an underrated gem, watch it!
