I just got out of The Batman This movie really won't be for everyone!! Easily the darkest Batman movie yet. It is gritty, depressing and not a fun movie at all. This isn't your usual comic book movie, it's a detective movie, with more in common with Se7en, than previous Batman movies. The first two thirds of the movie are amazing, at one point I turned to my son and said "This is a masterpiece" everything works and is brilliant, I was 100% enthralled, but boy does it drop the ball in the final act. Of the cast Pattinson is great, Collin Farrell is ok, Zoe Kravitz was fine too, but she has zero chemistry with Pattinson (Keaton and Pfeiffer they are not), Paul Dano though, was incredible, especially in the scene in Arkham, whilst Geoffrey Wright is as great as he always is.

Vengeance. This film is dark and intense, exactly how a Batman film should be. Brilliantly executed absolute phenomenal this is. A perfect film for The Batman fans. And a tough competition to Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight.This is a vigilante superhero film based on the DC Comics character ‘Batman’, directed by Matt Reeves (One of the writers too). It is an another reboot in the Batman film franchise which isn't a part of DCEU (DC Extended Universe). Runtime of the film is 2hr 56min. The storyline explores the detective side of ‘Batman’ more than any previous film of the character, which was very exciting for me to see. Screenplay is captivating and brilliantly written which presents every nuances wisely, also character development is really amusing. Direction is really Dark, Gritty and very intense, which is really thrilling. Cinematography is impeccable in every frame it brilliantly captures the true essence of Batman and artistry. Background Score is another mind-blowing aspect to the film where I experienced a music with a very dark and intense tone, I got goosebumps everytime I heard the score. Editing is perfect, even though film's runtime is long but still it has never bored me, not even a single time. VFX work, Production Design, Costumes everything is top notch and that has created a very convincing environment in the film. Action sequences were prodigiously thrilling, which is remarkably well choreographed and presented especially the Hand-to-hand combat scenes and Car Chase scene. In Actor's Performance, everyone is a perfect cast for their characters which is why no one is disappointing especially ‘Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman’, ‘Paul Dano as Riddler’ & ‘Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman’. This is a Must Watch for every Batman fans, who'll get a genuine psychological crime thriller & a very grounded detective story of Batman. Even though it creates a tough competition with Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy but still I don't think it's right to compare Nolan's MASTERPIECE with this film. Also, Watch this film in IMAX, you'll get an once in a lifetime experience.

There’s just something about Batman that I’m always drawn to. The Nolan trilogy, The Arkham games, most modern renditions just hit a certain spot for me, so I was super excited for this new movie. And good god I was not disappointed! For a person like me who loves Neo-noir type movies, and bleak detective stories like Prisoners or Se7en, the tone of this movie was right up my alley. It’s so gritty, so dark and brooding, so grounded in the absolute worst parts of real life. This version of Gotham feels so real yet so seedy and disgusting.  Patterson plays Batman in a brilliantly toned down and unmythical way, to the point you can really tell that Batman really hasn’t figured out the best way to do what he wants to do yet, he feels incomplete, like he’s got the drive to help people, but hasn’t nailed exactly how to yet.  And to sum up a few parts: the casting of basically all the supporting characters, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as the Penguin and Jeffery Wright as James Gordon, all did incredible jobs at making them feel believable and broken down. The cinematography was dark as hell but so fitting, there are some really iconic looking shots (I particularly love one involving people following a flare, that’s all I can say) This was such a new age take on a Batman story, and clearly takes inspiration from the bleak Joker movie from a few years ago, and I absolutely loved it. If the new era of Superheroes movies is going to go this emo route and stop being so fantastical, I’m all on board!
