I don’t know what’s weirder Leia kissing Luke or Yoda in his first 5 minutes of screen time
Its just the best Star Wars film isn't it? Ive The amount of times I watched this trilogy as a kid was unreal, and I always loved the Empire Strikes Back the most. It just holds a special place in my heart and my memories, and is well worth a watch.
5th part of the Star Wars saga, The Empire Strikes Back is the episode that I first discovered as a child so it has a special place in my heart although it is not my favorite. The film has aged better than episode 4 which had scenes that are today very, very ugly unfortunately. The 5th part, then 2nd at the time of its release, brings us its share of revelations but also completely new locations (Hoth, Bespin, Dagobah) which completely change from those of the 4th part. We integrate new characters who will return in the 6th or in the prequels or the 9th for Lando. the final reveal for its time must have been crazy and very shocking and people must have been screaming because it was so awesome. The cast is renewed and the new one is also very good. The only faults of this film are its original version which I did not like, I find it tasteless apart from a few scenes, the fact of not exploring more Hoth and Dagobah because Hoth should have contained more scenes given all the cut scenes because of budget. Apart from that the film is still great, the saga is in its heyday and continues to make young and old alike dream through the eyes of everyone. May the force be with you.
There just ain’t going to be another one quite like this one. Star Wars the Empire Strikes Back is definitely for me the best movie in the franchise and one heck of a follow up to an already wonderfully made movie. This one does such a well job at continuing the story of the massive threat that is the Empire, and balances it amazingly with Luke’s journey to find master Yoda so that he can get his Jedi training. Cinematically brilliant and still a timeless classic, just the “I am your father” line completely sends its audience into a rift since this villain isn’t just an evil force anymore but one directly tied to our main hero. An absolute game changer this film is, the empire strikes back is one of the most enlightening experiences I’ve ever had with a movie.
Any % Vader is ashamed to be Luke's father? Like it's not 0% right?! ... Anywho, it's the greatest STAR WARS film & one of the greatest sequels ever made ...
