Tim Miller is a genius. If he had already demonstrated it with Deadpool in 2016 and then with Love, Death and Robots, now he has established himself with Secret Level. Just as the second season of Arcane was a spectacle to behold, this anthology series does the same, but with the notable difference of being a much more mainstream product, with direct ties to some of the most popular video games of all time. It's known that today's animation enjoys a stratospheric level at graphic, visual and aesthetic levels. The problem to solve now is kinematics. There is a huge uncanny valley when looking at the facial expressions of the hyper-realistic characters. Motion captures continue to fail on the face due to the complexity of human anatomy. When we complete that picture, we can really do whatever we want. Anyway, Secret Level is another unmissable animation of 2024 that will remain in the pantheon of animations along with other names such as Scavengers Reign, Blue Eye Samurai and Arcane itself.
