On the surface, is actually pretty cool and badass. I have to admit i liked Real Steel, But of course, it’s as typical and cliché-ridden as any boxing movie can be. It’s predictable, and it plays a little too safe, but I admire it attempts to do something different with the sports genre, just kind of falls short of expectations. There are plenty of fun fight sequences which i really liked. It tackles the underdog story as most boxing movies do, and I admit is executed really well here. However, there isn't alot of connections built to hit the emotion it should. It plays a bit too heavy on impulsive decisions that isn't addressed as much as it should. But nonetheless a fun and enjoyable movie, just lacks some depth and the VFX still surprisingly hold up and look flawless for a 2011 movie, my rewatch did not disappoint. ★★★ - good movie (6/10)
