Poacher (Malayalam-Hindi-English-Bengali/ 2024/ Prime): This eight-episode web series is a need of the hour where Richie Mehta (of India In A Day and Delhi Crime fame) resorts to the wildlife poaching nexus this time. Loaded with great research, despite the loopholes in the form of a few moments during the investigation, the conflict around it and the family life that could have been trimmed easily, the entire watching experience is intriguing and great. Despite being engaging, it somewhere again goes in the 'past relationship' territory between its players which has now become too irritating and stupid, to say the least. Wonder when can we start investigating, without having any previous romantic angle? Just like 'The Family Man', Prime picks up a programme where the cause is national, the characters are varied and above all, the linguistic transition is smooth and appropriate. What didn't go down well with me was the portrayal of Delhi as a pollution hub. Agreed, it is polluted. But not so polluted that a government officer will start coughing blood annoyingly that many people would actually stop sympathizing with him. However, Mehta shows a contrasting 'Grey' factor in a loud manner, by portraying Kerala as naturally rich, yet a den of a lot many criminals and Delhi being polluted (and abusive) and people working a bit more efficiently. The cinematography is just amazing, the VFX work is symbolic and do watch out for some editing masterclass here, especially in the 6th episode.

Technology Has Provided An Additional Benefit To People Who Love The Fun In The Sport of Hunting, It Fulfils Their Need For Violence. However, Some Tribal People Don’t Have Any Other Means For Earning Money, Hunting Is Their Traditional Craft & Now They Kill The Wild Animals For The Demand of Their Skins, Bones, Tusks etc. Poacher Is A Nicely Made Series Which Helms To Sensitize The Audience Towards The Human Behavior of Poachers Who Hunt The Elephants For The Ivory Trade & The Forest Officers Who Try To Stop This International Network of Ivory Smuggling Which Is Interconnected With Other Types of Illegal Smuggling Networks Like Drugs, Arms, Human Trafficking & Even Terrorism. Story Starts With Forest Ranger Mala & Senior Officer Neel, They Discovered That 18 Elephants Have Been Killed Recently Under The Nose of Forest Department of Kerela & Then They Start A Highly Secretive Operation of Catching The Poachers Using A Small But Dependable Team. The Team Members Were Going Through Rough Phases of Life & The Poaching Incident Enhanced The Stress In Their Life, They Have To Ignore Their Personal Problems To Focus On Solving The Case & Eventually They Seized The Biggest Illegal Ivory Stock Worth Billions. Series Is Based On Real Events & Characters Are Modelled Upon Various Real Life People & That Is The Most Shocking Part of This Series, Very Realistic, Slow & Tedious In The Starts But Picks Up Brilliant Pace Until The Climax, Good Acting & The Sensitive Emotions Towards Protection of Wild Life Are The Central Core of The Series, It Was Good But It Could Have Been A Lot Better, Acclaimed Creator Richie Mehta Did Some Mistakes But His Heart Was At Right Place In His Little Bit Left Leaning Screenplay
