Bueno, es cierto que baja el nivel con respecto a las anteriores, pero aún así es una película espectacular que vale la pena ver. ¡¡Ésta debe de ser la película con más traiciones que existe!! Osea, en la primera la gente tenía sus diferencias, pero había una especie de amistad oculta, en la segunda las cosas fueron a peor, y los protas se hacían "putadillas" -menos la tia, que lo que le hace a Jack no es ninguna broma- pero es que en ésta película todos los protagonistas se llevan a muerte, todos se traicionan ante todos!!! En fin, mucha acción, comedia, efectos especiales curradísimos y una historia enrevesada pero entretenida. El problema de esta película son los grandes fallos de guión, que para mi gusto se cargan el ambiente general. Aquí os voy a poner unos cuantos: Si la Perla Negra está en perfecto estado en el otro mundo, ¿eso quiere decir que todos los barcos que destruyó el kraken también están en ese desierto? Más cosas... hablando del kraken, ¿cómo y cuándo ha muerto? y qué casualidad, se lo encuentran justo en la islita donde paran a repostar agua... Y la tal diosa Calypso, a la cual no la nombran en ningún momento en las anteriores películas, parece que solo es una excusa para poder hacer la lucha final en un torbellino, pues si os dais cuenta es lo único que hace... y por cierto, la forma de vencer al barco del comandante cabrón es así porque así lo querrían los guionistas... el tio se queda paralizado sin razón, cuando podría haber vencido a los 2 barcos perfectamente, su barco tenia cuatro filas de cañones, una bestialidad, podía hacer pedazos a la Perla Negra y al Holandés Errante de un solo tiro de todos sus cañones a la vez, pero en fin, así lo quisieron los guionistas, pues hala. A mí lo que más me ha gustado de la película es el padre de Jack, hace un papel genial. Por cierto, vaya forma de acabar la peli, peor de lo que empezó la primera, los dos enamorados separados, Jack otra vez sin barco... Esperemos que hagan cuarta parte, pues se lo merece.

The original 3 Pirates movies are so clearly the best, and it should have just been a trilogy. I don’t blame Bloom or Knightley for jumping ship after this film (Pun intended). not the best of the 3 but better than those that came after it, a serviceable end to a good trilogy.

When - 11:10 PM Where - Disney+ With Who - Wife, Father-In-Law, Mother-In-Law, Myself Second Thoughts - Signifying the end of one of the best trilogies in the 2000's, At World's End is easily the most odd of the three. It starts off slow, with Captain Jack Sparrow sent to Davy Jones' Locker, and eventually begins to pick up in terms of pacing. Of every part of the movie, the pacing is probably the rockiest part, jumping from slow to fast-paced. Oddly enough, for me, the CGI here is also worse than the previous two installments of the franchise, despite the technological advances made in the years between the productions. I do also appreciate the use of a truly nefarious, evil villain. Lord Cutler Beckett is greedy, ambitious, and completely ruled by his own ego, and I love to hate him. He even somehow makes Davy Jones appear sympathetic. A satisfying conclusion to an amazingly entertaining trilogy, and all of it based upon an amusement park ride. Cinematic gold.

8.5/10 So, I'm going to be a bit biased in favor of this one, because At World's End has always been my favorite. I've loved the Pirates movies since I was a kid, but have grown to see some flaws in some of them. Basically, take this review with a grain of salt. Let's start with the flaws. Yes, the beginning is a bit slow, and yes, Jack's introduction is a bit too long. Yes, it's, convoluted as all hell, and yes, it digs somewhat too far into the lore of the Pirates universe. Looking past those, though, there's great action sequences, good villains, solid heroes, and one of THE BEST finales to the final act of a trilogy ever. That last action sequence of the Flying Dutchman against the Black Pearl in the middle of a whirlpool is phenomenal. Like in Dead Man's Chest, it's great to see the different goals of all the characters collide. The stakes are raised again from the second film. Here's another obligatory Hans Zimmer is great. This is the best score of the franchise in my opinion. Overall a great film in my opinion. It embraces the style of the series, maybe a bit too much, but I personally love it. The highest point of the series.
