Must watch for k-drama fans 🫰 , filled with comedy, romance and suspense 🎭 Having fun watching this heartwarming story, eagerly waiting for next episodes to come.

Sometimes I prefer K-dramas to get over in 12 episodes and spare me from the irrelevant plot twists and unnecessary subplots that could have easily been done away with. But with 'My Demon' 16 episodes were the perfect choice and gave me everything I would have probably wanted from a fantasy show: swoon-worthy central romance, heart-stopping cliffhangers, a powerful protagonist & above all a plot-driven narrative. Song-Kang & Kim You-jung work brilliantly as the lead pair and you are left wondering at times whether you should be in awe of Kang's Demon or You-jung's Do Do-hee because they are gorgeous! While Song-Kang's trench coat dawning is charming and dangerous in equal measure, his childlike behaviour with Do-hee brings a more nuanced & vulnerable character to the forefront. You-Jung has the more difficult job of going from being a powerful and independent woman to one who is smitten by the Demon while simultaneously on the lookout for the perpetrators who destroyed her family. Their romance gets the deserved limelight and rightfully becomes the central focus in this fable of life and death. The only drawback I might have for the show is the lack of time given to the primary antagonist to wreak havoc in the idyllic life of our Demon and Do-Hee, as it feels like his pawns get a lot of the limelight while he stays in the shadows for far too long for my liking. I would have loved to see a battle of wits between Demon and the main antagonist. But, overall I thoroughly enjoyed the romance, humour and the twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat.
