Del desaparecido Tony Scott, tenemos esta radiografía de los secuestros en México, con una Dakota Fanning niña que encantaba a la gente y un gran actor como Denzel Washington. La historia mezcla lo emotivo con lo cruel de la vida de secuestros, me parece que lo que más me gusta es la depresión que vive Creasy y como Pita es la que lo sana y ese es vinculo lo que hace que la historia se vuelva muy interesante; ya lo demás es una oda a la venganza que Creasy lleva a cabo. La película falla en algunos planos y cambios de escenas que parecen cortados con tijera, sin embargo, la película entretiene y nos da un gran mensaje. Man on Fire, es simplemente entretenida y con excelentes actuaciones, sin embargo, lo que nos queda en la mente es simplemente la relación entre Pita y Creasy que es el corazón de la película.

Not a dry eye when she says Creasy bear. My Denzel watches continue. Tony Scott's style is distinct and the edits and cuts feel like a CSI episode, but its absurdity is unique and keeps the viewer engaged and I love it. Denzel owned this era of cinema, and rightfully so. Fanning's performance elevates the movie so much too. They could've cast anyone and redirected back to Creasy, but Fanning made you understand why he turned himself around to be her protector. There are definitely flaws in this, but other than some terrible 00s fashion, I don't feel like looking for them. Man on Fire's humanity and hope give a fairly typical revenge thriller enough depth to make it one of the most moving and excellent action films ever made. An action-packed tale of revenge and redemption. Tony Scott tells a story that we have all seen time and time again of a man who has lost everything exacting bloody vengeance on those who wronged him. But Scott's directing, the brilliance of the script's focus on the characters' healing, bonding, and loss, along with Washington and Fanning's exceptionally moving performances, make Man on Fire one of the greatest revenge stories ever told. Denzel's John Creasy is haunted by his dark past and contemplates ending it all until he finds redemption in protecting, befriending, and raising a little girl who gives him a reason to live again. After she is kidnapped, Creasy rains hell on the kidnappers and crooked cops in John Wick fashion with shootouts, rockets, explosions, and more. Man on Fire's action might not reach the technical expertise of John Wick, but the character development and story give this film something more than the average action flick.
