Well, what I have heard about this film and what I have experienced are two disparate things. Everyone was applauding Bradely Copper's performance which is exceptional and compelling but in true essence Carry Mulligan has stolen the show with her smile, her subtlety in tough scenes where she outshines and shows us that this film Maestro would be incomplete without her just like Leonard's life story would incomplete without Felicia. Carry has done such an extraordinary work here that you just get mesmerized whenever she comes over the screen though some shots are so hasten cut to the next that I couldn't find the coherence. I think Bradely is a good actor and he has performed Leonard Bernstein's character so convincingly that you can get captivated but at times I felt Bradely was focused more about Leo's life and not about him, what others are getting out of his behaviour but not about what he is dealing within. A part from that I have seen a better version on the celluloid of Bradely, that is not just he is a great actor but he is wonderful director that has taken this tremendous job on his shoulders and done an incredibly commendable work which makes him a prolific artist. This film is good because of the great performances and an exceptional direction though the supporting cast roles could have been written with more gravitas but all in all this movie Maestro is surely deserves every recognition.

Beautifully shot, yes, but an entertaining or impactful watch? I'm not so sure There is no denying that this movie looks incredible. Fair play to Bradley Cooper here, he manages to make both the colour, and the black and white sections pop with vibrancy, and gives us some really lovely looking shots. However, there are definitely some points where it feels like that is all the scene is for, a display of visual talent, without much substance to back up what we are seeing. Its a fairly good story, but its a bio pic of a fairly interesting man, so its hard to go too far wrong there. Once again it ends up feeling a bit run of the mill and a bit substanceless for me, a story of an interesting life, but shown in quite a flat and dot to dot way. There are some exhilarating scenes, and there are some emotional moments, but I don't feel that the movie does enough to warrant those moments, they seem to come out of nowhere and not have the impact that they could have. I'm at little disappointed given all the hype around this movie, but I cant call it a bad movie.

Spectacular performances and cinematography. I just would’ve wanted to see more into the professional life of Leonard Bernstein. The film is called “Maestro”, however it diverted its storyline of how he became one of the greatest in history — instead focusing on his personal life.

I don't know how to describe how much I love this film. Bradley Cooper show us his passion in this movie. I just don't understand why this film only get 57% audience score in RT, it's not fair, it should be higher. Let's talk about this movie. This film shows us the best acting of Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan. The direction, acting, cinematography, sound and soundtrack of this movie is a masterpiece. I love the Ely Cathedral scene, it's was so powerful，it's the climax of the movie. I cried at Felicia's dead. You watch this film, maybe you will think this movie is talking about a life of a genius composer Leonard Bernstein, but the main topics of this movie is talking about Love and Family. This movie is better than A Star Is Born. It was one of my favourite films all time.
