Those two old ladies were just good friends, right? Great animation, love the transformations, and might be the best way to explain coming out to all ages. Watching at the end of a month of Pride themed movies made this very emotional for me. I don't know of too many movies that can convey the feelings of fear and growing up with a secret that only one other person knows about you as well as Luca does. After we finished we were looking at other Pride content on Disney+. My kid asked about what one of the stories was about and didn't understand why anyone would keep themselves a secret. "Luca" is a 2021 coming-of-age fantasy adventure animated film about a young sea monster boy with the ability to assume human form while on land, who explores the town of Portorosso with his new friends Alberto(Another sea monster boy) and Giulia(A human girl), experiencing a life-changing summer adventure. Visually the movie was so profound, in some frames it even got me confused whether I am watching an animation movie or live-action movie, that's how great visually the movie was. The story was simple, the characters were a delight, and the ending was emotional, but as a whole it's just an average Disney-Pixar movie. There's nothing extraordinary, except maybe for the visuals. I would not say I had a great time watching this, but whenever I watch an Animation movie I'll feel good, especially if it's a Disney-Pixar movie, then I'll be more than happy to watch, so in that sense I had a good time, other than that it's an average Disney-Pixar movie.
