Guys killers of the flower moon is not for everyones cup of tea because you need patience and 3 hour's 28 minutes to watch this masterpiece with intelligent slow burn thriller which is based on true story and novel where if you are not slow burn thriller fan's or if you get bored easily by watching such ground breaking and realistic movie then this movie is not for you. Watch only Marvels and DCs. This movie is for true Cinephilles who can see and have patience to watch slow burn thriller. Performances by Leonardo DiCaprio was authentic and outstanding, Lilly Gladstone was real suprise of the movie literally she nailed it , Robert de niro was really authentic and brilliant, brandon Fraser , Louis cancelmi , etc was really brilliant and authentic in every role. Direction of Martin scorsece was really brilliant, outstanding and raw where screenplay was really brilliantly written and executed where everything was really so beautiful and brilliant cinemathography. Only negative i some found is long duration of the movie where every people might get some bore in 1 or 2 scenes like me. As i told you need patience and intelligent mind to watch this movie.

Man this is a real cinema lovers movie. Slow, long, but packed full of story, emotion and heartache Some people might be put off by the runtime, and the slow pace of the story, but it so necessary to really build this sense of unease, and show how these events are unravelling and effecting the community. The feeling of hopeless that builds throughout the first half of the movie is incredible. You know these people are there for the wrong reasons, but you slowly learn just how far they are all willing to go to get what they want, you learn just how ruthless they can be and how much fear they are willing and wanting to instil in this community. The acting performances are brilliant, Leo is as good as ever, but really isnt the stand out. Robert De Niro gives a chilling portrayal of a blood thirsty money sponge, and Lily Gladstone gives a super heartfelt, gripping and emotionally believable performance as Mollie. All that being said, I wanted to like it more than I did. I thought it was technically great, and cant poke too many holes in it, It just didn't fully grip me they way other movies have this year. Its still a movie that will be on my mind for a long time, and one I am happy to rate fairly highly, but one i cant up up there are an all timer for me.

2023 is the year for CINEMA lovers; we got John Wick 4, Across The Spider-Verse, MI7, Oppenheimer, Barbie...and now we have KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON. Soon we'll be having "The Killer" from David Fincher which I'm really excited to watch, but let's talk about this masterpiece first. KOTFM is Scorsese's "Western Magnum Opus" centred around the Osage killings, set in the era of 1920s. First things first, this movie is 3 and a half hours long, and please don't be intimidated when I say that coz the movie is worth watching for every goddamn minute. It's completely miraculous how a movie which is intended to be a documentary drama, can hold you at the edge of your seats with nothing but a hell lot of conversations between characters, some infrequent bloody brutal violence (in the classic scorsese trope), and scenes which may serve no purpose in the overall narrative. It gives me immense pleasure to tell you all that I didn't feel bored for even a second, and this is coming from a guy who has the attention span of a housefly. I'm so fucking glad I watched this movie on the big screen coz OH MY FREAKING GOD THIS MOVIE IS A CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE IN THE PUREST FORM. IF THIS IS WHAT SCORSESE INTENDS WHEN HE USES THE WORD "CINEMA", HE CAN SURE AS HELL TRASH TALK MARVEL ALL HE WANTS, AND I'LL BE AT THE FRONT APPLAUDING FOR HIM! This movie can be interpreted as a case study of greed, and how much greed can consume one and drive them towards extreme measures to achieve ones needs. Robert DeNiro's character William Hale, whom people call "King of the Osage Hills", is one greedy-ass cruel motherfucker who's jealousy of the Osage tribe's wealth leads him to plotting their deaths, even if they're his close confidants. And for this he uses his nephew Ernest (Leo's character), as one of his pawns. Ernest can be best described as naive, who doesn't go against a word of his uncle and does everything he orders him to do. And the extremities his character portrays by the 2nd act, it's just haunting to watch and digest. The writing is exceptionally engaging; even when two characters are talking about what their taste in women is like, it somehow feels as if we are getting immersed into their psyche and how their thought process works, coz that's a crucial part to understand their ulterior motives. I have no words to describe how brilliantly the screenplay is written and presented; the fact that you can hold a person's attention just through scenes filled with conversations and character building is in itself a huge fucking triumph. Performances and Cinematography are two strong pillars of KOTFM; each and every shot is worth converting into a painting, and we also see the classic tracking shots which Scorsese usually uses in his films. Honestly, if I don't see Lily Gladstone getting an Oscar for her portrayal of Mollie Burkhart, I'm gonna be extremely pissed at the jury coz she was so friggin phenomenal, she ate up her role and left absolutely no crumbs. Immaculate performances by each and every cast member, there's nothing I have to say to describe how terrific they were in their parts. It was funny to see Leo make the ☹️ face the entire time, but he NAILED it as Ernest Burkhart; the way he portrays his naivety and his shift towards regret for his actions, it's just magnificent to watch. I am nobody to talk about DeNiro's acting, I have nothing to say about him except for the fact that he's an acting masterclass in itself. It was a treat to watch all these lengendary actors together on the screen, being at the top of their game. The score also complemented each scene perfectly, in a very subtle manner. The ending is something which will be lingering in my mind for a while, coz it's kind of a sad depiction of how media about crime is generally presented to the public; the events described by the radio show hosts are extremely crushing (as we had seen them prior in the film), but they're toned down with sound effects to make them more appealing for the audience, adding in an element of entertainment (exactly what happens irl as well). This is one such movie where I can't really pinpoint any flaws coz who am I to judge Scorsese's work? The man has already created a name for himself since the 70s and he still stands as one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. Even at the age of 80, good ol' Martin Scorsese has still got what it takes to make a 3.5 hour long movie, that for the most part is like a documentary drama, feel like a shorter movie that keeps you engaged with riveting character drama, a powerful screenplay, and a top-notch cinematography. This is indeed, what he unabashedly calls, as CINEMA.
