The film stands out as one of the greatest family dramas produced by Bollywood. It focuses on understanding family dynamics in a traditional Indian environment, where the stubbornness of senior members can spell disaster for all. While the film features some exaggerated characteristics, the powerful performances and the blend of emotions with lovely music create a memorable viewing experience under Karan Johar's direction. Even 23 years post-release, the film maintains its impact, with emotional scenes that still connect with audiences. The performances serve as the core element of K3G, as previously stated. Amitabh Bachchan brought Raichand to life flawlessly, and Shah Rukh Khan, along with Hrithik, excelled in their roles as siblings. The performances of Jaya Bachchan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee, Farida Jalal, and the rest were exceptional.

Early 2000's Family melodrama which connects to my childhood and so many memories with SRK-Kajol powerful bollywood pair, out of the universe body transformation of Hrithik, one of the OG 'Bhaiyaa chwenty rupees ke momos dena' girls like Poo, Iconic entry of SRK from 🚁, anti colonial/White bashing comedy, Mother-Son bonding.

We see Amitabh Bachchan is his dominating patriarchal role, Jaya Bachchan as the submissive and obedient housewife, Shah Rukh Khan as the rebellious son in love, Kajol as the lovable, speak your mind Chandni Chowk girl, Hrithik Roshan as the heartthrob and Kareena Kapoor as Poo, the diva who thinks the world of herself. An emotional saga which entails loving once family but without deprecating your self worth. A modern story about conflicts between generations, age & tradition related conflicts are catered sensitively. Nothing new and out of the box but handling is different. I, particularly, enjoyed every scene with Kajol in it. She’s a star of this movie according to me. Her one liners & coming timing are the USP of this movie.
