The Comeback Of Nelson & Thalaivar Usually we wait for a comeback of an actor who faces back-to-back failures. But for me, this is the first time I wait for a comeback of a director. Director Nelson Dileepkumar faced cyber attacks and trolls like no other director in recent times because of his last film with Vijay called “Beast”. One day is enough to change the life of many people. Nelson has become the latest example of that. Today was his day. Big comeback. Superstar Rajinikanth's too. No films celebrated Superstar Rajinikanth like this after Karthick Subbaraj's 'Petta'. Extremely 'RAJINified'. Coming to the story, after retirement Muthuvel Pandian is living happily with his family consisting of his wife, son, daughter-in-law and grandson. His son, who is a cop, has problems with a local gang. After that, the son goes missing. The film tells about the subsequent events. Nelson has turned this story into a great theatrical material with his dark humor and thrilling action scenes. The first half that goes very engaging. From the beginning, it was the Thalaivar's show. The first half was just a sample for the upcoming fireworks. As we enter the second half, the story goes to other levels. Just before the climax scenes, I felt a little lag. But then the magnificent scenes that make it all obscure come through. Nelson's comedies have all worked well. Mohanlal, Shivrajkumar and Jackie Shroff are in there not just to show their heads in the screen. Everyone has very strong characters. Especially the way Shivrajkumar and Lalettan are placed and the roles and intros given to them are great. I don't think Malayalam cinema will use Lalettan like this in recent times. Nelson did it like a fanboy for all 3 superstar swags. Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Vasanth Ravi, Ramya Krishnan, Mirna, Yogi Babu, Marimuthu and the son Rithvik have done their roles well. Tamannaah has also done well even though she didn't have much more than 10 minutes time; also it was good to see 'Kavala' song on screen. What should be mentioned is the performance of Vinayakan as the villain. Brutal and a great performance against Muthuvel Pandyan, the protagonist. Anirudh's BGM & songs are the another main strength of the movie. Ani's BGM elevated each scene. BGM for each cameo role was unique and perfect. The theater experience offered by 'Hukum' song is extraordinary. One of his best. Action choreography was perfect. About the technical side; it is clear that the editing & VFX team has done a good job. DOP also deserves an applause. Like in the previous films, the color tone used by Nelson here was good. Overall, Nelson, Thalaivar and Ani have done an outstanding comedy action commercial movie. Definitely a must watch movie from the theater itself. Thus Nelson has made a huge comeback.

Commercial Cinema at its finest presenting Our Super Star in his peak to rejoice & Celebrate as Nelson captured his enigma to the fullest yet in a new introspective within his world. Plot Follows up a retired Jailer whom Living his old age with his family, forced to return to his old self. Its an typical story for a star movie. But Nelson has presented us something different. No one can see anything typical in it, wholly Nelson has given a good story. And also his style of screenplay also add more value to the story. 1st half was worth in every aspect from start till interval its literally just fire without any lag. Interval block was completely bang. Then 2nd half slightly slows down in intial stages and looks like getting typical. But there also Nelson scores. Things u predict will not happen in 2nd half. Among the whole 2nd half, Climax was something next level stuff. The star power of 3 big star in that portion was a delight to watch on screen. Black comedy thing have worked well in many places. Thalaivar, uff!!! each and every scene he appears on screen was sheer goosebumps. Nelson has shown him in most stylish way. And also he has tapped the performer Rajini in many scenes. Next to Rajini its un-doubtedly Vinayakan. He has enough power to stand against the SuperStar. Very small roles for both Mohanlal & Shivanna but they had their enough mass in it. Among all JackieSaroff had less scope. Top notch cinematography. Each and every Frame is a blast. Ani liftd the entire show and carries it to sky high. A commercial cinema at its finest form. Yes its a comeback for both Thalaivar&Nelson. Go for it and have a blast. WORTH WATCH

A lot of action sequences which I was very much expecting and definitely wasn't disappointed. This action was served with generous helping of Rajni style. Moreover, some of the twists and plot turns made this quite enjoyable. Other than significant blood in action scenes, a complete entertainer which can be watched with family.

I think I appreciated the 2nd half a lot more this time around, even with some cringe moments here and there. And also thalaivar's swag makes up for all the flaws tbh; he's just too good.😤
