Another beautiful feel-good romantic movie from Nani. Father - daughter relationship and their bonding are beautifully captured. The first half was a little bit slow. Because the director took time to convey the father - daughter bonding, the flashback of the protagonist and also the emotions of them. The characters, especially the father and daughter and their emotions are beautifully conveyed. Also the backstory is just ok for me, but the visuals were so beautiful. And the twist at the end of the first half is completely unexpected. I just loved that. That's why, I felt the director took that much time for the first half. If I had sped up the first half or forwarded the scenes, the second half wouldn't have connected so well. I started the second half curious about the lives of the three characters. The director only focused on them there. Actually, the director focused on Nani-Mrunal combination scenes more. And they were good at sometimes also. Overall the second half is filled with some beautiful moments. The moments are driving it. There were many cliche scenes, actually the daughter character and her illness is also a cliche for me. But it didn't affect my overall experience. I think, for me the emotions in the film worked and it might be the key factor for liking the film. Nani, the daughter and Mrunal Thakur performed well. There is a scene in the second half when Mahi realises the truth. That little girl just stole the scene with her eyes. Excellent performance by her in the entire film. The dog in the film also has a separate space. In some subtle scenes the dog also conveys the emotions. Especially, when Mahi listens to Yashna's voice, the dog just comes and sits near her and hears it with her. This is another moment I liked in the film. That's why I said, the film is filled with some beautiful moments. The climax was a cliche situation. The old template 'happy ending' climax should've been written differently. It just happened like I expected. The director already placed many cliche and cringe scenes and dialogues in the whole movie; I don't know why he would've put a scene which Yashna realises the truth. That might be a good moment to enjoy even though it's cliche. That might help to end the film with a beautiful smile. Songs and BGM felt a strength to the film. Shruti Haasan, her song and the conversation between Nani and Mrunal after the song were not relevant there. The dialogue should've been written differently. But the scene ended with a beautiful frame. I loved it. Overall, for me, 'Hi Nanna' is a good watchable feel-good romantic movie with many beautiful moments and also some cliche and cringe scenes.

Nani and Shouryuv's emotional drama HI Nanna completed one year recently. On the outset, the film is a regular drama but the way the director handled the characters and emotional moments in the second half is what makes it special. The flashback of the film could have been better as it sounds a bit too regular, but from the intermission to climax, the film does a good job at holding one's interest. Especially, the last thirty minutes provide an emotional rollercoaster experience. Nani was good as Viraj but the show stealer of the film is Mrunal Thakur, who personified herself as Yashna. The little kid Kiara Khanna also performed superbly, while Jayaram, and Priyadarshi were perfect. The music provided by Hesham Abdul Wahab is too good and fits very well into the film's narrative.

This film is like fine wine. It will get better and better at every rewatch and will never leave us without tears. Shouryuv impressed me to the core in his debute itself. And cant find words to comment divine Mrunal.

Hi Nanna is really a beautiful and soothing movie with emotional dialogues and scenes where storyline is really great this time where you will surely cry at climax too. Performance by Nani was really brilliant and excellent where Mrunal thakur looked so gorgeous and pretty 😻😍 in the movie where her performance was really fantastic where her black saree look scene 🖤 ♥️❣️ ❤️❤️ literally main fir pyaar main pad gaya ❤️ and performance by Kiara Khanna kid was really great and she looked so cute and pyaara in the movie really i want my daughter like this in the future. Performance by every supporting cast was really good and music and song's are really heart touching and soothing with music and voice of Hesham Abdul Wahab really after Arijit Singh and sid sriram I'm loving the voice of Hesham Abdul Wahab ❤️❤️❣️♥️💯💯😻😍. Overall it's brilliant romantic family movie which should not be missed at all.

A heartwarming wholesome entertainer that weaves its non-linear narrative through the brilliance of its screenplay and editing. Of course, it has the clichés of the genre, few dialogues that feel a bit cheesy and the plot convenience & off placement of a certain party song. But it still manages to be a heartfelt experience as it authentically brings the dynamics of its characters. I loved its music album that helped it to elevate its emotional impact. The film choices of Nani are amazing, where he brings a diversity in his performance.

Good movie to watch on your holiday, I feel bit of drag in 2nd half.
