A good crime mystery thriller that was very engaging, just like Knives Out (2019). Maybe it was because of the high production quality, it took a while to get a connection for me. But still, the movie was a good experience for me. A good movie with superb twists & turns.

I really enjoyed Knives Out and was looking forward to the sequel with much anticipation ever since it was announced. I was, however, disappointed. With Glass Onion, director and writer Rian Johnson shows once again that he can carefully craft an intriguing story with brilliant direction. But with a bigger budget comes many challenges and unfortunately the movie fails when it is trying too be too extravagant and a spectacle for the viewers. The core story is very interesting and after a dull start, the middle of the film really hits it's stride with Johnson moving his playing pieces about with ease and wonderment. That was when i most enjoyed the movie.

A sequel to sleeper hit Knives out, Craig returns as Benoit blanc to solve a yet another murder. Plot is A billionaire calls up his homies for a weekend party at an island then a murder occurs A typical murder mystery one-line which stands out with its treatment just as it's predecessor likely. Unlike the knives out it only has limited set of characters, each has unique attribute but Norton takes the lime light along with Craig. Screenplay was a fast paced narrative that keep us hooked till the end and it has a handful of twists and turns that unfolds along the plot. First Act doesn't offer much, 2nd act unraveles the plot and builds the knot, last act paves off neatly. As much as the original, it is a brilliantly woven mystery thriller fuelled with comical elements. Rian Johnson have made a yet another great whoduni with his own touch. Comparing to its prior counterpart it is equal and yet distinctive. On whole a great mystery thriller that will sure satisfy the expectations. Not just for thriller seekers it is a good choice for a fun watch. A POPCORN FLICK

Another great installment of the Knives Out franchise. If you liked the first you will definitely like this one as well.

To be frank, I was bit skeptical about it with Knives out raising the bar in the dramatic thriller category. The question was can they do it again or will they kill the brand in their 2nd venture. Add to that this one was a Netflix production where the ratio of good vs average movies is relatively low. In spite of all this the brand was tempting enough to give it a shot and glad I did !! The pace, the drama, the build up, the subtle humour, the methodical investigation everything were just perfectly blended to create another brilliant product from the Knives out crew. Daniel Craig as Detective Blanc stands out as the glue to the whole set up of characters involved in a murder mystery. What works out the most is how tiny details in the movie are linked to make us observe something very obvious. If you have loved Knives out, you will definitely love this too !!
