A once filthy rich family, living in a dilapidated motel in an old town, owing to unfortunate circumstances. What follows is a fun riot of events they go through & adjustments they make. The Rose family, father - Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy), mother - Moira Rose (Catherine O’ Hara), daughter- Alexis Rose (Annie Murphy) & son - David Rose (Dan Levy), each struggle in their own ways to deal with the situation in hand. What’s amazing is that a subject which could have been a plot for something serious is dealt in a very quirky manner. David Rose (Dan Levy) is the star of the show for me. Stellar & stylish main characters, gel & work well with the side characters. Random laughable moments & instances crop up. The Rose family grows on you & you end up falling in love with them.
