Trey Parker's "South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut" is an animated adult comedy film that follows Eric Cartman (Trey Parker) and his group of friends who go see a Canadian movie that is rated R. Their parents believe the film corrupts them, so they begin a movement with hopes of waging war on Canada. Rating: 3/5 "South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut" is such a fun and absurd film, however, it simply over stays its welcome and becomes pretty boring pretty quick. For starters, this film is absolutely hilarious. If you are a fan of the South Park television show, this is definitely for you. It has the same ridiculing humor, and it works for me. The first half of this film just flies by while it sets up an over-the-top story while staying as entertaining as ever. The third act, however, is where this film goes downhill, in my opinion. There seemed to be a lot of reused gags throughout the movie, and it definitely gets old after a while. And, not to say the plot was boring by any means, but the first half was so tiring that the story itself couldn't pick the momentum back up, so I was left, at times, hoping it would end soon. This film is definitely living proof that not everything needs to be turned into a 90-minute movie. The last thing I would like to mention is that it is a South Park film, so be aware of the inappropriate humor. There's a lot of it. If that doesn't sound appealing, then you should definitely avoid this film because you'll likely just find it distasteful and offensive. Overall, the film definitely wears itself out, but it will still easily appeal to fans of the South Park TV show. If you don't enjoy the series, though, definitely steer clear.
