It's a film that lacks focus because it simply tries to focus on too much. There's a lot of fat on this one that could be trimmed off. There are some great scenes, but they are sandwiched in between a lot of unnecessary sequences, which unfortunately takes away a lot of emotional resonance. It's shot beautifully. The score is fantastic. Kevin Costner and the rest of the cast do some solid work. 7.2/10
