Una obra de arte de las películas de animación, una de las películas con el ambiente gótico más logrado jamás, con una historia muy original, mucha acción, risas y hasta algo de tensión. Muy recomendable para todos y todas las edades.
This movie is just Tim Burton all over, the ultimate depiction of his style and imagination. The style of this film is unlike anything else, and spawned many early 2000s emo outfits. One of the best musicals ever because it doesn’t feel like a hammy musical.
Often mistaken for a Christmas movie because of it's title this is in fact THE Halloween movie 🎃 for all ages. 💥 Jack Skellington is the king of Halloween, providing scares and spooks for Halloweentown year in year out. Burnt out by the same old procedure, Jack suffers an existential crisis -leading into his discovery of a world beyond his own: Christmas town.✨️ 🎶 the music alone makes this an event, @dannyelfmans themes create a world that will live on as a part of culture forever. 👻 @nightmare.beforechristmas is the most Tim Burton movie ever done without even being directed by him. 👉 when artistic perfection meets unlimited playfulness this is what you get.
Nightmare Before Christmas What's this? What's this?! An absolute classic from Tim Burton which, in my opinion, is one of his best movies to date! Nightmare Before Christmas was captured by an entire generation and became embedded in popular culture forever. So here it goes… the main protagonist of this one is the infamous Jack Skellington, The Pumpkin King, who presides over the land of Halloween Town and has been dissatisfied with life of late and feels he needs a new challenge. He stumbles across Christmas Town where he decides to take over and make Christmas his own… What could possibly go wrong?! This is one of my favourites! It did a brilliant job of establishing new and vibrant characters, very creative and also incredibly unique, which as we know has stood the test of time with Tim Burton's usual flair for the eccentric, a recipe for greatness! Considering this was aimed mainly at children, it does a brilliant job at making its leads still very relatable to adults as well with lots of themes of change, feeling unsatisfied with life and longing for discovery of something new and exciting! The creepy gothic aesthetic, Tim Burton's calling card, is clear to be seen and fits this story perfectly. The claymation is something that is sorely missed these days in the age of CGI and AI, an entire art form hardly used, but beautifully captured in this movie. The fantastic soundtrack by the equally eccentric Danny Elfman, fits perfectly with Tim Burton's vision, with some classic songs from Jack's “What's This?” racing around in wonder in Christmas Town to Oogie Boogie’s spooky song to intimidate his prey. Nightmare Before Christmas is a worthwhile watch, to be enjoyed time and time again. So light your Jack O Lanterns and put up your Christmas tree to get in the mood for both of the festive seasons! 8.5/10 Enjoy!
A Christmas without having seen The Nightmare Before Christmas is not a good Christmas. This film directed by Henry Selick and written by Tim Burton is a great pleasure to watch and rewatch, in addition to being a classic, the film is excellent, has not aged a day and can still be watched today. The film made in stop motion shows Tim Burton's touch in the film. Animated film not made for the youngest because scenes can be shocking for the little ones. On the production side, Henry Selick excels. The film mixes animation, musical and horror, a very good idea with an original story.
