I just cannot believe Broderick in a serious role - even the mustache never made me believe him. Glory is a passionate story about the American Civil War that shows a young man thrust into a position to lead the first black union soldiers through orders. The cast is great outside of Broderick, who maybe was set to make us unsure of Shaw's abilities to lead and make decisions. Freeman, Denzel and Braugher are the must see performances, exemplifying the "must fight" attitude of the brave soldiers of this era. The story is paired well with good editing and some overly cheesy music that attempts to emote where the movie misses a bit.
