Bueno, es un clásico, de eso no hay duda, con un bajísimo presupuesto supieron hacer una película muy entretenida, con muchísima acción y algunas escenas muy logradas. Una maravilla no es, pero marcó época y género.

Probably the launch film of the post-apocalyptic genre. So what's it all about? Set in a dystopian future ravaged by fuel shortages and societal breakdown, the film follows Max Rockatansky (Mel Gibson), a motorcycle officer who pursues a violent biker gang after they brutally murder his wife and child. It's a low budget film woth some great cars and chases and the black interceptor that became a feature later in the franchise. While the plot is relatively simple, the film does raise some social questions in a world of chaos. This does feel somewhat different to the film's that followed almost a fast forward in time that is never really explained. An enjoyable if not somewhat dated watch but iconic in the formation of the franchise.

Immersive race shots, a man on the edge and a world without hope. Great!

This film holds a sweet spot for me and I still highly enjoy it even if it is a little more dated with the newer installments being more technically dazzling, but this is still a very investing and engaging action film from the late 70’s that should be given a watch as it perfectly sets the stage for what’s to come and introduces us to this character we know and loved

Mad Max, while incredibly low budget feeling, is a great little film. Mel Gibson is incredibly cool and bad ass as Max, while there is a solid story at play. Simplistic, but the revenge based aspect of the story is engrossing as George Miller brings his singular vision to life. The stunt driving is outstanding, helping to deliver some highly entertaining action sequences. It’s very easy to see why this film is so beloved.

Where FURY ROAD ends up, the folks that started with the series now know how we feel about where the F&F franchise ended up .. just in the opposite direction of quality

La primera de la saga, nos cuenta como Max pierde a su familia y en el camino toma venganza.
Tengo que admitir de los efectos para la época son geniales, pero lo que más me gusta es ver como aumentan la velocidad de las motos, es genial.
En fin cine clásico que no desentona.

7.9/10 The score is orchestral and exciting. It booms throughout action sequences and mellows out through quieter moments. The action that’s here is great. The high speed chase scenes and everything that takes place on the road is awesome. My big issue with Mad Max is that it doesn’t feel like any sort of true inciting incident happens until around the halfway point when Max’s partner, Goose, dies. Even then, it feels like the movie waits until the third act to make anything happen. Thankfully, there is a lot of real tension surrounding Max and his family in the third act. Watching his wife and son die was genuinely sad.

Mad Max might not dazzle like it once did but the dreams of what becomes Mad Max: Fury Road began here. ——— It's incredible to reflect on how this film marked the starting point of the journey towards the iconic masterpiece that is Mad Max: Fury Road. While there are no glaring flaws in this film, I personally found the pacing to be inconsistent and the action sequences to feel somewhat outdated. The dystopian future depicted in the movie was too subtly portrayed, and I only became fully aware of this premise after watching subsequent entries in the series. However, it is clear that the seeds of brilliance were sown here, waiting for the right time and budget to fully blossom into something extraordinary. I am excited to see Mad Max 2, as I anticipate it will be a more grand and improved installment in the Mad Max franchise, showcasing further growth in George Miller's directing skill.
