Basada en un caso real (no se hasta qué punto), donde un hombre joven, enamorado de una adolescente, acaba matando al padre de esta por negarse a que mantengan relación, y huyen por todo el país, escondiéndose, malviviendo y matando a todo el que sea necesario. El interés de la película, sobre todo, se centra en las magníficas actuaciones de los dos protagonistas, que son, por pura definición, psicópatas, incapaces de sentir afecto o remordimientos por el resto de personas. Esa forma de demostrarlo a lo largo de todo el largometraje, su manera de comportarse (sobre todo Martin Sheen, que está genial), consigue engancharte y te da una sensación de mal rollo increíble. Una película dura, dramática pero a la vez muy interesante.

Girls just want a boy who will save a rock to remember their first time together. An interesting narrative style that allows us to grow along with Holly for her coming of age saga. Kit is an ego maniac with no real worth but tons of charisma and style: even the cops are enamored with how he looks like James Dean. There's great music and gorgeous landscapes and Sissy Spacek and Martin Sheen are great together. I could've done without the age gap of 15 & 25, but it helps her arc and shows his true colors. A tremendous ending and might be my first Malick, at least first I can recall. 353/500 movies & tv for 2024
